Gabe has been a demonstrable net positive to nerds worldwide, and the “stuff he owns” is a controlling share of his own company and rich person shit like yachts. He isn’t hoarding things from normal people like single family homes. His company also pays its employees profoundly well.
If you think it’s hypocritical to love Gabe and generically hate the rich, it’s because you’re too dense to apply nuance to cases where it’s appropriate. That’s a you issue.

Gabe and steam are better than the average rich/corporation, because steam isn’t publicly traded and they have some sort of ownership or profit sharing (not sure of the details), but if anything that just proves the others deserve to be eaten because it’s so easy to be halfway decent and they choose not to.
Steam and all other organizations would almost certainly be better as a fully union owned and operated syndicate/co-op
